Tecumseth Lofts
766 King Street West
| This building project was completed in the end of 1999 and consisted of a partial renovation to an existing one and a half story building. Located on the northwest corner of King Street West and Tecumseth which is just west of Bathurst, you can find these lofts that were developed by Walter Harhay and designed by architect Len Sedun. Suites range in size from 710 square feet one bedroom lofts to 1000 square feet 2 story 2 bedroom lofts with terraces. There are also a few larger units around 1150 square feet that are one bedroom plus den lofts that are more open concept. On average the ceiling height is 11 feet high but there are heights can range from 9 feet to an astonishing 28 feet. Skylights, gas fireplaces, granite counter tops, hardwood floors and Jacuzzi bath tubs are some features of the lofts and standard finishes include real maple shaker cabinets and large open concept kitchens. Some kitchens are even equipped with gas stoves and all terrace suites have gas outlets for barbeques. Most of the two story terrace lofts have the living/dining areas upstairs next to the terrace. Maintenance fees run very low with utilities extra. In the King West area of Toronto that is popular for loft living, the Tecumseth lofts are ones that stand out. | ![]() |
